Katie Palmer – Director of The Haven Wellbeing Hub

Wellbeing Consultant, Angelic Reiki Healer, Atlantean Healer & Past Life Regression Therapist
 
I trained as a Holistic Therapist in 2002, qualifying in Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Aromatherapy. I also passed my Reiki 1 & 2 in 2003. I have a great interest in all thing holistic and have received many treatments in many disciplines and I’m always eager to try more. Over the past 10 years I have also studied Indonesia Massage, Thermo Auricular Therapy and Hypnotherapy. I had worked from my home therapy room since 2002 but it had always been my dream to open a Wellbeing Centre, with a holistic shop and studio. I’m so lucky to have achieved this when opening of The Haven Wellbeing Hub in February 2015.

Claire Foster – Yoga Instructor – Hatha yoga, Vinyasa flow & Ashtanga style – Mon-1pm, Wed-9:30am

I started practising yoga in my early twenties simply to increase flexibility and to balance out my fitness programme. I enjoyed my practise so much I decided to pursue a senior yoga teaching course and since qualifying in 2009 I have been teaching classes and 1-1’s. I enjoyed a hands-on style of teaching with small groups to ensure every client gets the most from their yoga practice.
 
Cristina De Piano – Hatha Yoga Instructor – Friday 10am

I started my yoga journey 8 years ago with my friend quite literally forcing me to go along with her to a class, ever since then, I’ve been hooked. Yoga has taught me to take time out from a busy schedule and focus on myself. My classes are dynamic with a good flow, with an emphasis on letting go and having fun with your own practise. I try to keep all classes light hearted and with everyone leaving feeling as though they have achieved something.
 
Mandy Haynes – Ashtanga Yoga InstructorTue 1pm, Thur 9:30am

Alongside Buddhist practice I began attending yoga classes in my mid 20’s my first Yoga teachers was a vibrant and fit 80 year man. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I watched him getting into ‘The Crow Pose’, this was enough for me to want to learn more about the practice of Yoga. I travelled the world exploring different cultures, and all kinds of yoga, this resulted in me becoming certified to teach yoga. My aim is to create non-judgemental environment that feels safe and comfortable for you to explore your yoga journey. I am qualified in Hatha yoga with BWY, Sivananda, Ashtanga yoga with Inn-bound Yoga. I have been teaching yoga since 2007.
 
Nathalie Waddell – Hatha flow instructor – Wednesday 7:30pm

I have been practising Yoga for 17 years, coming from a dancing background I used Yoga to improve my posture and flexibility, however, through my years of practice I began to notice the array of benefits Yoga can bring to the mind as well as the body so my practice became more focused on general wellbeing and now an integral part of my life.I qualified as a Yoga Instructor from the Sam Rao Yoga School in 2015 with a YA200 qualification and have been actively teaching since.
 
Tina Eden – Pilates Instructor – Mon 6:30pm, Wed 1pm

I have seen in my own life what practising Pilates can do for my body, mind and spirit, and I am keen to share The Method with others.  I also hold a Level 3 Certificate in Exercise (GP) Referral and Nutritional Advising and Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) registered.

Lindsay Evans – Bowen Technique

I have a genuine fascination for the human body and have over many years immersed myself in learning about its workings. I have a broad understanding across a variety of therapeutic approaches and am continually wowed by how often minimal interaction can stimulate the body’s natural abilities to restore, regenerate and repair itself.
 
I have qualifications in Nutritional Science, Touch for Health Kinesiology, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Stress Coaching and Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques and am a qualified tutor to professional level in The Bowen Technique.  For the past 9 years through my own personal experiences and those of hundreds of my clients, I have gathered a wealth of knowledge about the debilitating and widespread havoc that prolonged high levels of stress can have on the human body. Effective stress management is my specialist subject and at the very heart of my practice and ethos for achieving and maintaining good health.
 
Dr Lisa Da Silva – Chartered Counselling Psychologist
 
I am a Chartered Psychologist, registered with the regulating body for healthcare professions in the UK, the Health and Care Professions Council. I have worked for the NHS in various settings including Occupational Health, Women’s Health, Primary Care and Secondary Care Services. This means I have a breadth of experience working with various client difficulties, and as such can provide an individual client focused approach to the difficulties you are facing.

Mark Quirk – Psychologist & Mindfulness Teacher
 
I re-trained in Psychology following a successful career in the world of IT, mostly at Microsoft, because of a fascination with the human mind, and the potential to make a difference to people’s lives at home and work. I started a training and consulting practice focused on enhancing human performance, in lock-step with improved resilience and wellbeing; and recently created Mindfulness Berkshire to help extend his mindfulness teaching outside of the workplace.
 
I holds a master’s degree in applied positive Psychology (MAPP) – where I conducted primary research into the application of meditation in the workplace and its impact on resilience. I have formally trained as a mindfulness teacher according the guidelines set out by the UK Network for Mindfulness-based Teacher Training Organisations.  This training path is required by those wishing to teach MBCT (Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy), a derivative of MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), recommended for certain conditions to the NHS by the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in the UK.
 
Sadie Lee – Holistic Therapist – Sports Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage
 
I began working as a therapist in response to the growing need for a natural and dynamic personal approach to good health. I feels so lucky to have been drawn to massage therapy, which I loves to do and that people love to receive. I have strong intuitive hands, over 10 years experience, a caring down-to-earth personality and a high level of fitness, all combine to provide you with a quality treatment. I am is a fully insured member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists. My diploma in Holistic Therapy incorporates Anatomy & Physiology, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Swedish Massage. I am also qualified in Sports Massage and hold diplomas in Nutrition, Indian Head Massage, On-site Acupressure and DSE Risk Assessment in the workplace.
