Weekly Tuesday Evening Yoga with Katie
It is a misconception that yoga is just for the more flexible among us, it is for everyone! Yoga is an invitation to deeply relax not just the body but the mind as well.
Yoga is a step by step system combining dynamic and relaxing postures, breathing techniques and also concentration and meditation techniques.
Using all these techniques together we can develop strength and flexibility in the body and also a more relaxed, calm mind which can help lead us to contentment.
Yoga can help with many different things such as:
- Increased flexibility
- Strength in the body
- Pain control
- Mental calmness
- Improved body awareness
On a personal level yoga for me it is about creating space. Finding space in my joints and muscles using postures making my body feel more open and flexible. Also creating space in my mind. Using different breathing techniques, meditations and relaxations we can find spaces between all the thoughts that are constantly in our minds making us be able to think more clearly and have a more focused mind.
Come and learn about Yoga in a relaxed friendly environment. All ages and abilities are welcome.
We will practice postures, yoga breathing techniques and relaxation in all sessions.
